This year, the new committee of 2010/2011 planned the Band AGM. The committee of 2009/2010 gave us one theme: Hawaii, and so we decided to hold it in school!

Our first draft of the Poster (designed by Eleena Bakrie). Venue was later changed to School Grounds because we wanted change
It was held on 4th September 2010, Saturday. Band practice was from 9 – 10 am only and the rest of the time was spent setting up our decorations for AGM that night!

Creative shot of the barbeque set!
Some of the lights we hung around the school grounds.
We had lanterns too because we put in a lot of effort and work, because we wanted the best for our seniors.
More lanterns! This was SO hard to light up in the evening as the wind kept blowing ahahah!
Some of our (stolen, cough) leaves
LOOK! IT’S SHINY.
Working hard~~
And still having fun!
Working magic.
The juniors went home at around 11am – 12pm while some form 4s stayed on to finish up the decorations and setting the whole place up. We went home around 2pm to get ready and took turns coming back until 6pm, where the form 4s all gathered to light the candles, fire up the barbeque and set up the music.
6:45pm, everyone starting to arrive.
First time ok! So burnt a bit ehhehehehe.
Our super awesome BBQ Team!
:D:D
Christine Ling, who supplied the rest of the leaves from her garden!
Amy Voon, being emo with our tiki torches.
Eleena Bakrie, who supplied those tiki torches.
We were in need of lots of tape as our lanterns/flowers/leaves kept falling.
Our registration table, tickets in the corner!

The fire from our BBQ.
Eating!
We only started eating at around 8pm as we were waiting for all our teachers to arrive. This was during the puasa month so we felt really bad for our Malay members, hehe. It was potluck so there was A LOT of food–three whole KH room tables FILLED! We played Hawaiian music in the background (mostly from Lilo and Stitch, hehe) so hopefully we didn’t disturb the nuns
too much.
Our music room, all prepared for the movie later!
Our teachers
People who finished eating early played limbo inside!
Our pretty president, with the flowers we hung in the doorway
Our form 5 seniors
Stephanie Nina, ex-president, giving her speech and passing down all the posts.
We then gathered in the music room for the performances (one by our seniors, another by our two form 4s who will be leaving us, Alicia Eng and Clarissa Chai), speeches (which wasn’t many this time) and the passing down of posts. After which we had planned to watch a movie, August Rush, as it was an inspiring movie about music. (:

After that, we all settled down for our movie:

The movie finished at around 11:30pm. Everyone went home, tired. We had lots of fun, and I hope all the other members felt the same!
